ECUAMOD training - A tax-benefit microsimulation model for Ecuador
A training course for ECUAMOD, the Ecuadorian tax-benefit microsimulation model, was held at the Instituto de Altos Estudios Nacionales (IAEN) in Quito on 21-23 February 2017. Participants included representatives from a wide spread of government institutions, including the Central Bank and the Ministries of Economic Policy and Finance, as well as local universities.
The event was organized as part of the SOUTHMOD project, which aims to create microsimulation models for selected developing countries to analyse the effects of tax and benefit policy scenarios.
