UNU-WIDER congratulates Professor Njuguna Ndung’u on his new appointment


Professor Njuguna Ndung’u has been appointed as the next African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) Executive Director effective September 1, 2018. Over the years Professor Ndung’u has held a number of top positions in the field of economics and development, including as the former Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya.

Professor Ndung’u has collaborated with UNU-WIDER in various projects, including the ongoing ‘Natural Resources, Structural Change and Industrial Development’ project. UNU-WIDER looks forward to continuing its fruitful partnership with both the AERC and Professor Ndung’u.
