Recent UNU-WIDER study on global inequality continues to grab attention

News outlets continue to cover a recent UNU-WIDER study on global inequality.

News outlets from around the world, including Science Bulletin, the Hindustan Times and RTT News, continue to cover a recent UNU-WIDER study. The study, published this summer, makes an important contribution to our understanding of long-term shifts in global inequality. It shows that different measures — whether absolute, centrist or relative — bring about vastly different findings. It also demonstrates how, while relative inequality on the global scale has declined substantially from 1975-2010, absolute inequality has increased considerably.

For more details on the measures used and findings, please see the study.
