World Income Inequality Database project presents at the OECD's DAC Community of Practice on Poverty and Inequalities

On 24-29 March, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) Development Assistance Committee (DAC) Community of Practice on Poverty and Inequalities (CoP-PI) hosts several thematic dialogues between researchers and practitioners on embedding poverty and inequality reduction in the early stages of the policy and project cycle.

UNU-WIDER Research Fellow and project focal point for the World Income Inequalities Database (WIID) project, Carlos Gradín presents 'Data measurement on poverty, inequalities, and Leave No One Behind (LNOB)' in a panel discussion. This discussion provides an overview of existing poverty, inequality and LNOB data and measures that are commonly used at the global and national level for a policy audience. Practitioners will share their experiences and challenges in collecting and using global, national, and subnational data. The discussions will help identify data and measurement improvements needed to meet the pledge to leave no one behind.
