Sam Jones presents IGM’s work to Finnish MPs during virtual visit to Mozambique

On 30 June 2021, Sam Jones, UNU-WIDER Research Fellow and IGM Resident Advisor, join a virtual two-hour visit of the Finnish Members of the Parliament to Mozambique. Speaking in the opening session of the online visit, Jones will  provide the 45 tour participants with an overview of the historical and socioeconomic context of the country and of the work done under the Inclusive growth in Mozambique (IGM) programme since 2015.

The online visit is coordinated by the UN Association Finland, UNDP Nordic Representation Office and UNDP Mozambique. It offers an opportunity to inform the Finnish MPs on the on-the-ground-work of the United Nations in a priority country for Finland’s development cooperation and discuss how Finland, the UN and other development partners can best work together to support the achievement of SDGs in Mozambique through an integrated approach of humanitarian aid, development cooperation and peace-building.
