Detecting and countering illicit financial flows - 1st network meeting

On 12 November, 2020 an informal workshop will take place for a group of international researchers as part of the Detecting and countering illicit financial flows project.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together selected leading academics in the field of economics, who are interested in international tax and illicit financial flows, in order to establish an informal research network, as well as to identify the most promising avenues for new research on this topic to help shape the project activities.

Three researchers will also present their work on the subject, including a presentation of an overview paper.

The online workshop will be chaired by Professor Niels Johannesen and Finn Tarp. The project is implemented by UNU-WIDER in partnership with University of Copenhagen (UCPH), with financial support from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) and is part of a larger Domestic Revenue Mobilization (DRM) programme.
