African Tax Administration Forum Master Class in collaboration with UNU-WIDER

African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) through its Tax Academy organizes a Tax Research Master Class workshop in collaboration with UNU-WIDER. The workshop is held at the African Tax Research Network (ATRN) 7th Annual Congress on 8 September 2022, in Accra, Ghana. The aim of the Master Class is to equip tax researchers in Africa with improved research skills.

ATAF entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with UNU-WIDER to organize the Master Class for researchers from revenue authorities, tax policy units of the ministry of finance, and the academia. The Master Class allows them to discuss and share innovative tax research methods as well as pertinent and contemporary topics of tax research. UNU-WIDER Research Fellow Amina Ebrahim attends the workshop as a facilitator and chairperson.

The workshop is part of UNU-WIDER's Building up efficient and fair tax systems – lessons based on administrative tax data project, which is one workstream under UNU-WIDER's programme on Domestic Revenue Mobilization (DRM). The DRM programme is financed by the Norwegian development co-operation agency Norad.
