3rd Annual workshop: Inequality and governance in unstable democracies – the mediating role of trust


3rd annual workshop for Inequality and governance in unstable democracies – the mediating role of trust, to be held virtually on 22-23 April 2021. The workshop was set to be held in Maputo, Mozambique, but for the second year running it had to be moved to a virtual environment due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Around 30 researchers are expected attend the workshop. 

The aim of the workshop is to present results from ongoing projects, discuss new subprojects, and to discuss methodologies across case studies, with a focus on surveys and behavioural experiments.

The workshop is organised by Institute of Development Studies with support from UNU-WIDER. The sessions on Day 1 will be chaired by Sam Jones, and on Day 2 by Tilman Brück. Eva-Maria Egger and Rute Martins Caeiro will present results from the Mozambique case study. Patricia Justino will open and close the workshop on both days.
